What is Still-Life?

A still life is a painting of household items arranged on a table or shelf. There are many reasons artist create a still life: be it haughty or humble; a symbolic meaning of a story or idea; to capture the natural beauty of objects; to express abstract elements of the visual element. Still-life had been around for a long time. This style of art has been a way for artists to show off their technical skills in painting.
